To advise the Department of Education in developing and implementing comprehensive policy and responsive programs
To assist the Department of Education in building partnerships that support the needs of Native American Students

Assist in the identification of education issues and needs
Recommend and assist in implementing policies and programs to address identified needs
Assist in planning, hosting and promoting the annual education summit
Promote the creation and implementation of policies, programs and strategies for partnerships at the local and state level
Identify and promote statewide programs that work in Native American education
