Diverse Learning Needs

Information on and links for teaching strategies for students with diverse learning needs using the K-12 Social Studies Framework andthe Teaching Strategies for Students with Diverse Learning Needs will appear here, Keep watching.

During the month of June, 1996 we brought a group of Nebraska teachers together to develop a series of teaching strategies for diverse learners. This strategies are intended to be a tool to help the classroom teacher use the K-12 Social Studies Framework in their classroom for ALL of their students.

These strategies were written for the student with diverse learning needs. We are using this term because we will be considering the special education student and the gifted student. This process is the beginning of an exciting process that will be a very positive addition to the Nebraska K-12 Social Studies Framework.

The completed resource can be viewed, printed and/or downloaded by selecting the following link. "Teaching Strategies for Students with Diverse Learning Needs"
